- Sail Away - Rouses Point is situated right on Lake Champlain, which is the sixth largest Great Lake. With ample opportunity for water sports, sailing events and a vibrant waterfront community, residents and visitors alike can take a boat ride along Lake Champlain to where it becomes the Richelieu River.
- View Historic Fort Montgomery - These ruins are all that is left of the strategically critical 19th century fort. The fort, which is privately owned and not open to the public, can be viewed from the Rouses Point-Alburgh, Vermont Bridge (Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge), which connects the village to Vermont.
- Rouses Point Dodge Memorial Library - An historic site located at 144 Lake Street and is a fine example of the Rouses Point architecture. The library's collection of books and periodicals totals over 14,000 - with an extensive children's section. Events and programs sponsored by the library engage the community.
- Rouses Point History & Welcome Center - Former Delaware and Hudson Railroad Station built in 1889 purchased by the village in 2005. Placed on the National Register of Historic Buildings in 2005 and restored by the village through federal and state grants, various community donations and numerous hours of volunteer labor. Home of the Rouses Point-Champlain Historical Society and operated by the Society during the months of June through October. Check the center's webpage for hours of operation. Admission is FREE.
- Marinas - Barcombs Marina, Gaines Marina, and The Marina at Lighthouse Point provide seasonal events and activities - from regattas to festivals, as well as winter storage.
- Rouses Point Samuel de Champlain Center Stage - Located on the Rouses Point Civic Center grounds, the stage is the Village's center of entertainment for the summer months sponsored by the Friends of the Stage. Weekly concerts, plays, and other shows including ice cream socials. All entertainment is free and open to the public. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy the shows.
- All season recreation - Rouses Point is a year-round playground. In the winter, the lake freezes and is perfect for ice fishing. Ice skating a the Civic Center is a must and the nearby Green Mountains and Adirondack High Peaks provide ample skiing and snowshoeing opportunities. The village is the absolute perfect setting for summer. Enjoy hiking, camping, golfing, cycling, fishing, boating and water sports on Lake Champlain. A recreational path connects the Villages of Rouses Point and Champlain.
- Lakes to Locks Passage - Take the "Great Northeast Journey" and let history come alive along this scenic route-from the Champlain Canal to the Richelieu Valley. Recreational opportunities abound along this route.
- Stroll along Lake Street - Browse the unique shops, sample specialty foods and enjoy a charming cafe with wifi. Don't miss the Montgomery Street Pier and Waterfront Park. Located only one block from downtown Rouses Point, the Pier provides a scenic walk, fishing areas and expanded enjoyment of the waterfront.
