Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Rouses Point Dodge Memorial Library works to focus public attention on the library; stimulate use of library resources and services; and receive and encourage library gifts, endowments, and bequests.  The Friends of the Library sponsors the Rouses Point Farmers Market and staffs a book sale table held on the Library lawn during the summer months. Other activities sponsored by the Friends of the Library include funding the Take A Bite Out of Books school literacy program; sponsoring local author talks and appearances; staffing a large book sale in June; and cooperating with the Library Board of Trustees and staff to develop services, programs and facilities for the Rouses Point community.

The Friends of the Library is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

GOVERNANCE

The Friends of the Library is governed by a Board of Directors which meets the last Tuesday of the month from 6-7 p.m. at the Library. Board meetings are open to the public.
